Dissertation exploring the idea that we may be heading towards a new intersection of hyperreality through the combination of incredible technological development and a ever decreasing need for the real, both politically, virtually and physically.
It traces the steps from the pioneers of early VR, through to current day mixed reality capabilities and the development Umberto Eco’s traditional definition of hyperreality and how that may be evolving.
