Render Showreel
The following page is a cut of varying renders and animations completed for the Gemba brand over the past 4 years. Joining the company at a time with a limited set of brand guidelines meant the need for the aesthetic of the embyronic brand to grow and evolve over time. The result is a wealth of content made after my intention to pivot the brand away from stock imagery and onto a Cinema 4D workflow. This allowed the creation of almost anything and the ability to represent difficult intangible concepts into attractive simulations and visual metaphors.2017 - 2022

Altered Realities Exhibition
Identity design for the exhibition of Altered Realities held at the Lethaby Gallery. Altered Realities was a reactionary exhibition exploring and coming to terms with the incredibly turbulent year of 2016, through politics, technology and beyond. The identity took inspiration from Jean Baudrillard‘s Simulacra and Simulation, intending to place a flag on the timeline of events in 2016 and the map of Baudrillard’s precession of simulacra.
A clashing serif and sans-serif logo was created alongside a set of animated posters, videos and a map.

Permanent
Exploratory investigation into the traditional customer journey of the clubbing experience. This manifested in a complete brand package delivered primarily through an app that did away with traditional UX/UI patterns and instead explored a tab style format. By looking at potential weak areas within the user journey and then reinforcing those touch points with new ideas, a more coherent and positive journey was created. The result was a feature rich app, poster series and range of dynamic logos.Branding, App Design

After-Internet Manual
An ironic manual envisaging a future in which the Internet has ceased to exist. The content relying on the very thing it is replacing. The manual takes aesthetic inspiration from early 90s typography and advertising, as well as internet browsers through the ages. Help comes from the remarkable WikiHow.com articles and how to deal with the five stages of grief in life post-Internet .Editorial Design
